Volunteering

Voluntariado

At Saint Agnes Catholic School volunteering is critical in meeting the needs of the school, including academic programs, extra-curricular activities, spiritual development, service projects, and maintenance and improvements to buildings and grounds. Each student’s family is responsible for 40 volunteer hours a year, or 20 hours for a single parent.

All volunteers must complete Safe Environment Training yearly.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Coaches

5th-8th grade students participate in CYAA Sports Programs including: volleyball, flag football, basketball, softball, and baseball. If you, a family member, or a friend would be interested in coaching.

Snack Bar

St. Agnes rents out our beautiful baseball fields. There are opportunities to sell food not only during school events, but when other groups are using the fields.

Spring Fiesta

The Fiesta Committee plans the big Spring Fiesta. Many volunteer hours can be completed in different food and game booths. Set-up and Clean-up crews are also needed.

Classroom Helpers

Teachers need assistance during the year for different activities. Contact your child’s teacher.

Book Fairs

Set up and clean-up help of the Scholastic Book Fairs are needed, as well as helping students select books or materials they’d like to purchase during Book Fair hours. This includes before and after school, as well as during the school day.

Homeroom Parent

Homeroom parents meet monthly. They organize parties and activities for the classrooms, as well as help with auction items for the Spring Fiesta. They are a vital part of our school community.

HASA - Home and School Association

HASA is an organization for the promotion of cooperation between home, school and community. HASA members plan and organize a number of events throughout the school and assist in raising funds to further the goals of the school. They are a very busy and important part of our school community.

Dad's Club

Members of our Dad’s Club focus much effort on raising funds for programs and needs not covered by tuition. The Dad's Club co-chairs the Fiesta, coordinates and annual golf tournament, helps out with all sports tournaments held at the school, and sponsors the sports banquet, among other activities. The impact of their work can be seen all around the campus.

Sunday Breakfast

Most Sundays following 9 a.m. Mass breakfast is served by various classes in Donohoe Hall. Help is needed providing and serving food, as well as setting up and cleaning up.

Friday Sales

Help is needed when treats are sold after school on Fridays at various times throughout the year.

After School Clubs and Tutoring

While most after-school clubs and tutoring are provided by staff members, we welcome parents to participate in or lead an activity that you are especially skilled in or simply love doing!

School Advisory Board

The Board is comprised of volunteers who work in an advisory capacity to help recommend policies to the administration, develop an annual budget with the assistance of the Pastor and Principal, and basically assist the school in helping to provide a quality Catholic education to the students of St. Agnes.

Spirituality Committee

Women on this committee meet once a month to pray and share. They provide aid to the school in planning different religious experiences throughout the year.

Office Help

Provide assistance to the office, especially when major activities are happening.

Parish Help
